Historical Ice Harvest on Nashawannuck Pond
Please join the Nashawannuck Pond Steering committee and friends out on the pond this Saturday for a peek into the past of ice harvesting in New England!
Easthampton was once part of the great ice industry begun by Massachusetts entrepreneur Frederick Tudor. Join historian Dennis Picard on the ice (weather and conditions permitting) and try your hand at using an antique pond saw and other tools of the trade. Dennis will also spin tales of the life of an ice harvester in New England. This is a FREE event and fun for the whole family. Park in the Municipal Lot at 50 Payson Ave. across from the pond. The Cub Scouts will have hot cocoa available.

2018 LCC Grant Writing Workshop
The Easthampton Cultural Council is holding a free LCC grant writing workshop!

Are you overwhelmed with the grant writing process and don’t even know how to begin?
We can help!
We offer a free, public, workshop for anyone that has questions related to our online system and LCC grant applications. We will go over the deadlines coming up as well as the LCC application process and we will address questions on LCC grants management and reporting. Don’t let your fear or inexperience with LCC grants stop you from applying.
Have you manifested other successful projects with prior LCC grants and want to be more engaged in the process? Please attend.
Each year the Easthampton Cultural Council, a local cultural council, selects projects that strengthen and diversify arts and culture in the community. Projects must occur during 2019 and priority will be given to proposals that utilize Easthampton spaces and resources. Applications, however, will not be denied solely on this funding priority and will be evaluated based on local guidelines and those outlined by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
