The Valley Bird Festival promotes birds, birding, and bird conservation for all. The event will feature bird walks, live birds of prey, games, and crafts. On-going activities include fun and educational games such as "The Great Migration Game”, and “Bird Olympics” Participants may follow the Tulip Trail which will have a “Story Walk” about the beautiful wood thrush and end at the Art House, where they can create bird art. Wildlife rehabilitator, Tom Ricardi, will be presenting two 40 minute programs with live birds of prey. Adult learners can join in on bird walks as well as visit our “bird and Climate Change “table to learn about changes in bird populations and how one can help.

Easthampton is blessed with natural beauty, diverse habitats, with many different bird species. This event provides the opportunity for residents, as well as others to learn about the birds around them. Many of our bird species are declining at an alarming rate. Though this will be a very fun event, geared for the entire family, we will also provide information on how to help some of these imperiled species.
