Fostering Kindness Across Generations: Children from Foster Care and Seniors Creating Together
The intergenerational Treehouse Community is a planned neighborhood where families adopting children from foster care and older adults live and invest daily in each other’s lives and wellbeing. “Fostering Kindness Across Generations” is a workshop in which young and senior community members will create a communal, original mosaic of a “Tree of Life.” The image itself and the project of working together will visually express the theme of treating each other with kindness. The whole, a life-giving tree that symbolizes a vibrant community, is made up of the parts, individuals from different backgrounds and ages who care about each other.
