Culture of Reuse

Culture of Reuse is an educational project that connects people with ideas, tools, craftspeople, local groups, and their neighbors to begin to think differently about how we live. It is both an awareness campaign of the social and environmental effects of our current single use culture and direct support to help people acquire and sustain new skills to explore and adopt a reuse lifestyle. The project includes a workshop and nine booth presentations, hosted by PJ Niver, in Easthampton from June-August. During these events, topics will include: why making the shift to reuse is important; becoming aware of packaging and purchasing choices; participating in local sharing and gifting communities; navigating recycling and composting; learning techniques and tools that can make these changes more convenient and enjoyable; and discovering local resources and support groups to accompany people on their journey.
